The Brooklyn Bridge
Manhattan Island, New York, NY.
30" x 72", September 2004

While shooting photos so that I might plan this painting, I was taken into the custody of the police at the Sugarhill station. They were alerted to my presence by hidden cameras. You don't realize how much embarrassing stuff you keep on you until, it's laid out on a table in front of you and someone is asking you to account for its being in your pocket in the first place. I interject the fact of being handcuffed to the chair that you are sitting in. I guess everything checked out, because they even pointed me in the right direction. I am certainly glad that there are people out there watching our landmarks.
